Liturgical Ministry

Liturgical Ministry volunteers focus on putting together celebrations that are reflective of God’s Grace in our parish community.

Art and Environment
This ministry creates the worship environment in the Church for the liturgical seasons throughout the year.  Extra volunteers are needed to decorate the Church for Advent, Christmas, Holy Week and Easter.

Liturgical Music

  • Choir– Practice Every Thursday at 7pm, sing at Mass 3 times a month.
  • Contemporary Choir– Sings at the 5:30pm Sunday Night Contemporary mass.  Anyone who loves to sing or play an instrument is welcome to take part.  Practices are Sunday evenings at 4:45pm.  No need to sign up ahead of time – if you can sing that night show up for practice at 4:45pm.  If you have questions, contact Dennis Costanzo.
  • Resurrection Choir – This is a beautiful ministry for families when they have lost a loved one. This choir sings at funerals.
  • Children’s Choir– All children in grades 3 and up are welcome to participate. Rehearsals are every Wednesdays at 3 pm during the school year. They sing once a month at Mass.
  • Hand Bell Choir– Learn the Hand Bells and accompany the various Choirs for special liturgies.

Liturgy Planning Team
Responsible for planning the liturgies and environment for the major liturgical seasons of the Church year and other special liturgies or functions.

Eucharistic Ministers
As a Eucharistic Minister you offer an important ministry to the parish by assisting the priest in distributing Holy Communion at Mass.  Training is scheduled two times per year.

Lectors
Lectors proclaim the word of God  in the readings and petitions at every liturgy.  Training is scheduled two times per year.

Altar Servers
Youth are invited to serve as Altar Servers for all liturgies, including funerals and weddings.  Is God calling you to be an altar server?

Tuesday Novena
The first Tuesday of each month at 6:30pm, a Mother of Perpetual Help Novena is held in church, followed by Benediction. You are welcome to attend whenever you are able.

Eucharistic Adoration
One Wednesday a month we have Eucharistic Adoration. You are welcome to drop in for some time in prayer. Volunteers are needed to take one hour shifts throughout the day to be present.

Wednesday Day of Prayer
Every Wednesday the parish is open for quite prayer. You are welcome to come and enjoy a little peacefulness in your busy week.

Wake Service Team
Volunteers represent St. Robert Bellarmine Parish in meeting with people who have lost a loved one, helping them plan the funeral, and attending the wake as a supportive parishioner.

Monday
through Saturday at 8:00 a.m.

Stations of the Cross 
Walk the Way of the Cross every Friday during Lent at 7:00 p.m
